About me, that is art, culture and everything else
I deal with art, visuality and literature on a daily basis practically, theoretically, academic and social.
Privately and professionally, I am a propagator of art and culture in all areas of life. Vernissages are my natural environment, hence the idea for this blog about culture and art. I lacked a space where I, unrestricted by any academic or genre norms, could write long texts about art that are not boring reviews or bloated and clichéd art criticism. A cliché, this is the one that instead of a succinct sentence, for example, on a more or less thought-out picture of a hybrid of a protozoan with a drop of engine oil summarized with the title “Untitled”, serves a bemused viewer a verbal product that says nothing on four lines of the text.
This manner is particularly noticeable in the case of abstract painting. Since it occurs more often than good matcha in downtown in Warsaw, it is difficult not to get over it. Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky rolls over in his grave, seeing that his visual art ideas led to the hatching of such verbal nightmare.
That is why at WERNISAZERIA, I write as I think.
My VERNISSAGE COLUMNS to are subjective, substantive, full of digression and specific humor texts about art, firmly embedded in culture, history and literature. The vernissage is more than just an exhibition. It is the entire setting: light, catering, music and people. Moreover, “vernissaging”, a vernissage narration, is much more than art criticism or writing about art as such.
Wernisazeria: more than a blog about culture or art
Wernisazeria is the first lifestyle blog about vernissages, a blog about culture and art because culture and art are not fashion, but my lifestyle. The only fashion that never passes is a fashion for intellect. Wernisazeria is 100% vernissages, art, culture and intellect.
What exactly Wernisazeria is and what it is about, you can read in the MANIFESTO. I will be pleased if you become a reader of Wernisazeria.
PS Answering your questions: yes, professionally, I have something to do with writing.
